Gluecksfall – Safer Gambling Association has been offering training related to problematic gambling behaviour in Malta since 2017, and ever since January 2020 it has been offering a free, anonymous, and confidential helpline for problematic gamblers and their loved ones in English and Maltese. It is with pleasure that Chevron Consultants hears that Gluecksfall is now an officially registered voluntary association in Malta. We are certain that with such an official recognition, Gluecksfall can continue to do good and necessary work in the Maltese Islands. With this news, Gluecksfall- Safer Gambling Association becomes the first non-governmental, not-for-profit association focusing on gambling addiction in Malta. Chevron Consultants has been a supporter of Gluecksfall’s aims since day one, and to show our continuous support towards this important association, we are pledging to donate €10,000 in 12 months to Gluecksfall – Safer Gambling Association, to ensure the continuation of its projects.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Melissa McElhatton, who is the secretary and local representative of Gluecksfall – Safer Gambling Association. Mel is a warranted social worker specialising in addiction, and is now in the final stages of reading for a Masters in Gestalt Psychotherapy. Through the joint expertise which Mel and the rest of the team of Gluecksfall bring into the field of safer gambling, we are certain that the sky is just the limit.

As a Europe-wide compliance consulting agency, responsible gambling is one of our focus points as well, and thus we wish Gluecksfall more success in its goals of promoting safer gambling behaviours, and of raising awareness on problematic gambling.
